XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY NEWSLETTER 11/2/97

            Over the weekend the team competed in the Frosh/Soph City Champs.  The Freshman led the team to its best City finish in 65 years and the best Frosh finish ever.  The weather made the Soph race a challenge.  The Varsity competed in the Marathon Road Race and showed that they are ready for Cities.  Here are the results:

BEST PERFORMACE: This week’s award has to go to the Freshman team for such a great season and finishing it so well at City Champs. Also RYAN HARMON gets a special mention for going under 9 minutes for the 1.5 mile race and being named 1st TEAM ALL CITY FROSH CROSS COUNTRY

 

MOST IMPROVED: This week’s award goes to Alex Dabagh, Dan Dougherty, and Roberto Wong for big drops on a rainy day.
