XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY NEWSLETTER 10/6/97

            Over the weekend the team competed in the St. Peter’s Invitational.  We did very well as a team.  The Freshmen all ran great times and the Varsity showed great signs of  improvement.   We also competed in the Jim Scott 2 mile Challenge. Here are the results:

MEDAL COUNT:  With the 64 won this week the season total rises to 88

 

MOST IMPROVED:  This week’s award goes to Bill Bernstien who ran about a 2 minute personal best for the 1.5 miles.  Also deserving of a mention is Steve Errante for his continued improvement.

 

BEST PERFORMANCE:  This week’s award goes to TIM SIMKO for two great races this week.  First by beating F.P and then for placing 2nd on Saturday.  Also deserving of a mention is the entire frosh team for their win this weekend.
