XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY NEWSLETTER 9/14/97

            This weekend we ran at the CHSAA practice meet, the final pre-season meet.  The team once again did very well as most of the upperclassmen round into shape.  The Freshman once again ran very tough placing 7 runners in the top 16.  Here are the results:

MIP/ BEST PERFORMANCE:  This weeks award goes to the Freshmen as a whole team.  They push their pre-season record to 10-0.  Also deserving of a metion is Alex Gochal, Andrew Donohue, Lee French, Joe Alcoser, Pat McGoldrick, and Rob Serrano for running very well so far this year.  Ryan Harmon congrats on winning your 3rd race in a row
