XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY NEWSLETTER 9/14/97

            This weekend we ran at the CHSAA practice meet, the final pre-season meet.  The team once again did very well as most of the upperclassmen round into shape.  The Freshman once again ran very tough placing 7 runners in the top 16.  Here are the results:

MIP/ BEST PERFORMANCE:  This weeks award goes to the Freshmen as a whole team.  They push their pre-season record to 10-0.  Also deserving of a metion is Alex Gochal, Andrew Donohue, Lee French, Joe Alcoser, Pat McGoldrick, and Rob Serrano for running very well so far this year.  Ryan Harmon congrats on winning your 3^rd race in a row
