  This weekend the Xavier Cross Country team took on the

top teams in the CHSAA and was able to finish in the top half

in both the Varsity Champs and the J.V. Champs.  This is

quite an accomplishment for a team that largely consists of1st year runners.  It was a positive note to end the season.

 MEDAL COUNT:  With the medals we won this weekend, the team total jumps to 113. There is one meet left and the team is shooting for 120 medals on the season.

MIP/BEST PERFORMANCE:  This weeks award goes hands down to MATT DROS who dropped an impressive 43 seconds off his previous best.  Also, a mention of JOHN McDERMOTT's fine race in the Varsity Champs as he begins to show his winning style
