XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY 2008 |
| Once again a successful trip to the North country. The 3 Xavier teams that competed faced some of the toughest competition on the east coast as the meet drew over 7,000 athletes from all over including our Canadian neighbors. Ivan Caesar paced the Sophomore Squad which had the largest race of the day with over 44 teams in the race. Both Caesar and Juan Martir broke 19:00 minutes for this difficult 3 mile course. The JV team of Santo and the Killer B's saw a balanced attack, as Santo Manciameli lead the JV with a time of 18:18. Both Santo and John Bruno broke 18:30. The story of the day for us was the Varsity Race. The team really stepped up their performance as all 6 team members broke 18:00 to make the all time list. The team was lead by Jordan Elie-Vieux and Jose Miranda who both broke the 17:00 barrier. Jordan posted the #9 fastest time in school history on this venerated course. |
