XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY 2007

A great effort by the Varsity. Senior Captain Kevin D'Emic gets the school record with a time of 13:07. This breaks the record held by Matt Redden '03. Kevin also posts the highest individual finish by a Xavier Runner at Cross Country Champs. Despite being picked to finish 8th by CHSAA guru Mr. Buckley, the team rallied and believed in themselves and each other and grabbed the 5th place slot. It is the 3rd time in school history that a team has qualified (1999, 2000) for the Federation Championships. Not to be outdone, the JV A team posted a 6th place finish. Crockett and Conlon broke 15 for the 1st time this season, bring the total of Xavier Harriers to break the 15:00 barrier to 10 for the season. Conlon keeps the streak alive as every year for the past 15 years, Xavier has had a sophomore break 15:00. The JV B team takes 7th to round out a triple top 10 finish. The 2 frosh who braved the elements and the competition performed admirably in their 2.5 mile debut
