XAVIER OUTDOOR TRACK  2003
The Team competed very well despite the weather.  A lot of guys step up to run longer distances in the cold.  Throwers had a good time with some impressive performances in the discus where most pr'ed.  Shuttle Hurdle Relay takes the school record on the strength of Burgess' 16.8.  Matt Redden put on a dominating performance in the steeplechase as he led from wire to wire and cruised to a school record.  Scott Lapiedra was equally impressive in his his attempt at the event.  He broke 11 mins taking 5th place.

MEDAL COUNT:  With these 17 medals the season total rises to  65.

There were some great performances.  The times might not reflect it given how cold it was, but there was a more aggressive running style especially for the your guys.

PENN RELAYS:  All seniors are going ( 12).  That leaves room for 8 more guys.  if your quarter time is below  57, consider yourself in consideration for a running spot.  The hotel will cost $60 and the team will leave 12 noon on Thursday 4/24.  They will return on Saturday 4/26.  Final cuts made Monday, Permission letters will be available for download Monday Night.  Any Questions, call Mr. Dormer on his cell phone.
