Details of nominees performance:
Going into the final week of the regular season, Xavier still had the ability to make the CHSFL AA Playoffs with a win over an improved Mt. St. Michael football team.  After losing back to back heartbreakers to Holy Cross and St. Francis Prep. by the same score 14-7, Xavier needed a strong performance to secure their position in the playoffs and that is just what they got.  Bolstered by another stellar defensive performance by the third least scored upon defense in the AA Division, Xavier’s Single Wing offense out possessioned Mount’s ball control option attack.  Xavier Tailback Jon Geruso turned in his sixth 100+ yard performance as he rushed the ball 35 times for 155 yds and all three of Xavier’s scores, he also added a 2pt. conversion accounting for 20 of Xavier’s 21 points.
