Details of nominees performance:
With the 36-20 win over
Kellenberg, Xavier moves into sole position in 1st place atop
the CHSFL AA Division and becomes the first team to win 5 league games in
the entire CHSFL. This is also
the first time that Xavier has started the season 5-0 since 1959 and only
the second time that the Xavier varsity has ever achieved that mark in
125+ years. In a very physical
game, where Xavier ran 70 plays and rushed for 465 yards, Captain Mike
Chiarovano was a workhorse carrying the ball 34 times for 291 yards and 5
TDs. He also added a two point
conversion run to tally 32 of Xavier’s 36 points.
Mike has rushed for 100+ yards and scored multiple touchdowns for
Xavier in 4 of the teams 5 games this year.
With his recent achievement, he has moved into a territory where he
can be mentioned in the same sentence with great Xavier Singlewing Backs
like Trey Solomon and Seamus Kelly.
