The Team Formerly Known as the Kaydets...
and then the Bruins... (Est. 1882) beat Baptist at
Aviator Field tonight and
looked damned good doing it. As is always the case when these two
teams meet, it was a fierce and physical game— but despite being
outsized— especially on the offensive and defensive lines— the
Knights were just quicker and more aggressive than the Cougars. A
very fun game to watch. (The lads get so excited whenever
they get the chance to play on a real football field that they just
can't contain themselves.)
With this victory, the 16th Street Kids improve to 2-0 for their
best start since 2008, when current linebacker coach Sean
"Stonewall" Kelly '10 was
terrorizing opposing linemen, running backs and receivers alike
from his backer position, and his brother Seamus
'09— who, four hours from
now will be playing in his first Rugby World Cup
match— was compiling running back stats and records that
may never be surpassed.
