The Xavier Administration, Xavier Knights Football Staff and Xavier Alumni in attendance all owe a debt of gratitude to the Xavier Knights Varsity Parents Club for the amazing spread that they laid out for the Unofficial Homecoming Event this week.

Baked Goods, Pre-Decoratively Bagged Homemade Popcorn, Six Foot Heroes, Wonderful Halloween Butter Cookies (Witches & Pumpkins), Rice Crispy Treats made from Fruity Pebbles, Sodas, Gatorades, Cool Xavier Football Tee-Shirts, Xavier Alumni Camaraderie, Great Weather and a Great High School Football Game were all on the Bill-of-Fair this past Saturday!!!

Thanx to Mrs. Armstrong, mother of Junior #80 Chris Armstrong and her cohorts for orchestrating a wonderful event.

Hi John,

Thanks for the support.  We traded punch for punch with those kids from Stepinac, but dropped a tough one 7-6 to an upper division opponent.  We played great defense and actually out gained them on offense 219 yards to 148 yards.  With about five minutes left in the game, we dug out from our own 1 yard line throwing the ball.  They managed to steal the ball after one of our receivers caught it at our 30.  Our defense then went back onto the field and shut them down again.  In our final drive, we got the ball back on our 20 and went in three or four pass plays to their 28.  We then missed two passes by less than 2 feet each, either of which would have won the game for us.  We are disappointed, but proud.

Thanx,
Chris Stevens -- Xavier '83
